Installation and cleaning methods for motor bearings!

  • 2025-03-03

The quality of bearing installation will affect the accuracy, lifespan, and performance of the bearing. Motor bearings, also known as electric motor bearings or motor bearings, are a type of specialized bearing specifically used in electric motors or motors. The installation of bearings should be determined according to the structure, size, and fitting properties of the bearing components. The pressure should be directly applied to the end face of the tightly fitted ring, and should not be transmitted through the rolling elements. The following methods are generally used for bearing installation:

(1) Clean the bearing with kerosene, press it into the bearing seat, fill the rollers on the outer ring of the bearing with Shell No. 3 lithium grease to two-thirds full, apply it evenly with clean hands, install the bearing cover, and tighten the bearing cover with fastening bolts coated with anti loosening glue;

(2) The bearing is a cylindrical roller bearing with separable inner and outer sleeves, and the inner sleeve of the bearing should be fitted onto the shaft and in place;

(3) Install the bearing seat onto the casing and align it with the position if there are grease injection holes. Tighten the bearing seat with fastening bolts coated with anti loosening glue;

(4) Install the inner and outer eccentric blocks on the shaft and ensure they are in place. If there is a shaft key, install the shaft key into the keyway and then install the outer eccentric block. Use a retaining ring to install the shaft on the shaft;

(5) Tighten the fastening bolt of the fixed eccentric block, rotate the adjustable eccentric block to reach the angle position before removal, and tighten its fastening bolt. After the above assembly is completed, the shaft should have axial movement;

(6) Secure the protective covers at both ends of the vibration motor with screws.

Cleaning rules for electric motor bearings!

The general cleaning method is to soak the bearing in kerosene for 5-10 minutes, pinch the inner ring with one hand, and rotate the outer ring with the other hand. The dry oil or rust proof paste on the bearing will fall off. Then put the bearings into relatively clean kerosene, brush them with a soft brush to clean the oil stains in the ball bearings and gaps, wash them once in gasoline, remove them and place them on clean paper. When cleaning radial spherical ball bearings and short cylindrical roller bearings, the ball bearings, ball frames, inner rings, and outer rings should be separated for cleaning.
